AEW EVP Cody Rhodes took to Twitter today to reveal that Tony Khan has decided to reward Velvet for her recent work by changing up her contract.

At this stage, there’s no word on what the specifics of this upgraded contract are, although one would imagine that Red Velvet becoming #AllElite is a far more permanent arrangement than what was likely a pay-per-appearance deal previously.

With five years in the business under her belt, Red Velvet first appeared for AEW in a losing effort against Abadon on the 12 August 2020 episode of AEW Dark.

Since then, Velvet has been a regular presence on Dark and then Dynamite, with her getting her big breakout moment teaming with Cody against Shaquille O’Neal and Jade Cargill at this month’s Crossroads special episode of AEW Dynamite.
