AEW's Dax Harwood Recalls Shawn Michaels "Making Fun" Of Him In WWE
Dax Harwood poured his heart out to Shawn Michaels, then HBK took the p*ss out of him.
Dax Harwood would love to sit down with Shawn Michaels one day and "reconcile".
The AEW star, who experienced a new lease of life upon leaving WWE with tag partner Cash Wheeler, told Renee Paquette's 'Sessions' podcast all about an unsavoury incident during his time in NXT. According to Dax, he shared a particularly heartfelt moment with HBK backstage that quickly turned sour.
Harwood opened up about going through depression after tearing his bicep, but said his wife helped him through "some really dark days". Shawn listened, then said his wife had done the same for him years before - Dax thought they'd forged a real bond, but...no.
Later, Harwood heard Michaels taking the p*ss out of his story in front of buddies like Triple H, Scott Hall, Sean Waltman and Billy Gunn. He couldn't believe it, and wanted to know why a hero he'd confided in about something personal would make fun of him for it.
Waltman privately thanked Dax for sharing his experiences, but the then-Revival star was left with a bad taste in his mouth. He's particularly unhappy that HBK willingly ripped into his depression for a cheap pop.
