Eddie Kingston has suffered a fractured orbital bone.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson states that AEW president Tony Khan announced this during the company's Dark tapings at Universal Studios, Orlando, Florida over the weekend, with Kingston himself occupying a spot in the announce booth during the recording session.

This has since been corroborated by The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer, who adds that Eddie hopes to be good to go again in around three weeks. There is currently no word on where, when, or how Kingston was injured. His last match came against Joey Janela during AEW's 8 January Dark tapings.

The injury unfortunately puts Kingston out of contention for this week's historic The WRLD On GCW event. The biggest show in Game Changer Wrestling history takes place at a sold-out Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City. While Kingston's opponent for the show hadn't been officially confirmed, he had been linked to a match with GCW stalwart and modern indie standout AJ Gray, who called King out in a promo last week.

Whether or not Kingston will still appear at The WRLD On GCW remains to be seen.

All the best to Eddie in his recovery.
