Cinematic wrestling matches are very much in vogue at the moment, thanks to the straitened times we currently live in, and signs are pointing towards another one in the near future. On this week's episode of AEW Dynamite, Matt Hardy responded to Chris Jericho's goading by challenging le ex champion to an 'Elite Deletion' match at his compound. We pretty much all know precisely what that'd entail: lawnmowers, drones, and SeƱor Benjamin.

However, despite the promo airing, the company are said to be undecided on whether such a match will actually go ahead. According to Dave Meltzer, speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Elite Deletion is under consideration, but is not yet a certainty.

Any taping would take place at Matt Hardy's home in North Carolina, but the feasibility of such a project obviously depends on the status of lockdown in the state. On 27 March, the state's governor Roy Cooper announced a 'stay-at-home' order, set to last for 30 days. Residents have been asked to comply with strict social distancing rules - which presumably, does not encompass filming fantasy wrestling matches in one's backyard.
