Jade Cargill will adorn the AEW: Fight Forever cover art when the project is eventually released this year, becoming the first Black woman to ever do so for a wrestling video game.

The reigning AEW TBS Champion hit Twitter to celebrate this fact on Monday:-

Cargill was revealed as one of the AEW: Fight Forever cover stars when the design was leaked to the internet on 2 August. Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho, Britt Baker, CM Punk, and Kenny Omega join her ahead of the game's release date, which is still to be confirmed.

Fightful Select reported earlier this month that AEW, developers Yuke, and publisher THQ Nordic plan on revealing more details on Fight Forever in Japan this September. The same report noted that THQ Nordic, not AEW, designed the cover, with the wrestlers involved not learning they would be featured on it until the day it went out.

Cargill is currently 223 days into her reign as AEW's first TBS Champion, having fended off 10 challengers during that time. Her latest match, a successful defence against Madison Rayne, took place on last week's special Quake by the Lake episode of Dynamite.
