Statlander tweeted the following on Tuesday:-

This came following a tweet the previous day confirming she was going under the knife.

Statlander was teaming with Hikaru Shida to face Penelope Ford and Nyla Rose on AEW Dynamite's 10 June episode when she was hurt, suffering the torn ACL while diving onto Kip Sabian, who was on the outside of the ring. News that she had hurt herself broke a few days later, with Statlander confirming the severity of her injury.

Torn ACLs typically come with a recovery time of around nine months. Fingers crossed that Statlander is able to make a speedy recovery.

AEW's women's division is in flux as a result of the ongoing global health crisis, which prevents foreign wrestlers like Riho and Bea Priestley from travelling to the United States. Statlander joins Britt Baker on the treatment table, leaving the scene shorthanded, though Baker has remained on television in a non-wrestling role.
