Pro Wrestling Illustrated readers have voted All Elite Wrestling's Orange Cassidy as the Most Popular Wrestler of 2020.

The publication uploaded their latest magazine cover to Twitter yesterday, with 'Freshly Squeezed' (and his upside-down award) front and center:-

In addition, AEW uploaded a clip of Dasha Gonzalez and Bryce Remsburg attempting to present Cassidy with the plague. When prompted to speak on the matter, OC merely took the plaque, turned it upside down, and handed it to Chuck Taylor. Orange walking off left Bryce to compensate for the Chris Jericho conquerer's trademark laconicness:-

As the award is voted for by fans rather than determined by a coalition, it's going to be difficult for anyone to have a serious issue with this, regardless of whether they like Cassidy's act or not.

2020 was an ascendant year for the Best Friends' ally. A progressive rise in popularity went supernova when he wrestled PAC in a fabulous match at Revolution, before entering a long-term feud with Jericho designed to get Orange over at a higher level. It succeeded, with Cassidy becoming a genuine quarter-hour ratings draw on Dynamite, and the award caps his story nicely.
