AEW's Paige VanZant is current dealing with an injury.

As revealed by the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star via Instagram, VanZant has broken three bones in her foot and will likely be out of action for a while longer yet.

Since officially signing with AEW in March, the one-time UFC fighter has only wrestled once for the company, teaming with Scorpio Sky and Ethan Page in a winning effort against Frankie Kazarian, Sammy Guevara, and Tay Melo at Double or Nothing 2022.

VanZant would make a number of other appearances on AEW programming in the lead-up to that bout, mind. But her absence has led many to wonder whether the notable name has much of a future in the company at this current moment.

Tony Khan's recent comments of the star commanding a "big dollar figure" also caught fans' attention recently on the back of VanZant herself claiming AEW need to "pay me the PPV dollars to show up." But the fact the AEW President is still said to be "interested" in having VanZant back makes the concept of an eventual return still very much possible once she's recovered from her injury setback.

The fighter is also currently scheduled to fight for BKFC again on February 27.
