AEW star Tenea 'Rebel' Brooks hasn't been on television in quite some time. She's been off screen battling health issues, including lung cancer, and was also diagnosed with a previously-unknown neurological condition. Now, via social media, the tearful wrestler has revealed what's going on.

It's heartbreaking, so please be warned.

Rebel announced that she's been diagnosed with terminal ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis). For reference, that's the same condition Stephen Hawking had for many years before his passing in 2018. However, Hawking lived for longer than most with ALS are expected to, which is seriously grim and obviously incredibly sad for Brooks.

The 47 year old has been through a ton of health worries in recent times, and she visibly broke down in tears upon delivering the news of this diagnosis. During her address, Rebel said the following: "There is not a lot of research behind ALS, and we don’t know how long I have, but it explains why I have trouble walking and talking. All my functions will soon decline, but now we can prepare for the future and what is to come".

Understandably, there's been an outpouring of support, prayers and love for Brooks since this news broke. Her peers, wrestling fans and critics alike have all come together to show sympathy. There isn't much anybody can do, but people's hearts go out to Rebel.

Towards the end of her address, Brooks thanked AEW boss Tony Khan for his continued support and asked for some prayers.

The full video is available on Tanea's Instagram page, but be warned. It's unavoidably emotional. Again, love and thoughts go out to her at this awful time.
