AJ Styles Feels Responsible For WWE Releasing Gallows & Anderson
"I feel responsible for them being released."
With the wrestling world still reeling from the multitude of WWE releases made earlier this week, AJ Styles has now made his first public comments on the release of his two long-time best friends, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.
Speaking during a live gaming stream, Styles – as picked up by Alex McCarthy at talkSPORT – revealed that he feels a sense of responsibility over the release of his Good Brothers.
As Styles put it, “That one hurt really bad. The only way I can explain it is that these guys are my family and I couldn’t take care of my little brothers. I didn’t manage to do that, and I feel responsible for them being released. It’s devastating.”
The last time that audiences saw Styles, Anderson, or Gallows on their screen was during the Phenomenal One’s WrestleMania 36 Boneyard Match against The Undertaker.
Unfortunately for the former Raw Tag Team Champions, Anderson and Gallows were part of the mass releases made by WWE this Wednesday. As to where the pair end up next, that remains to be seen – and more importantly, it’s a case of ‘when’ due to the ongoing uncertainty encompassing the globe right now.
That said, there has already been speculation that Karl Anderson’s next move could be a return to New Japan Pro Wrestling. ‘Machine Gun’ Anderson, of course, was one of the founding fathers of The Bullet Club.
