AJ Styles Injured In WWE TLC 2016 Main Event?
A brutal bout with harsh consequences...
Numerous sources are reporting that AJ Styles, who successfully defended the WWE World Championship against Dean Ambrose in the main event of Sunday evening's TLC Pay-Per-View, was visibly favoring his right foot after the show went off the air.
The title match - a tables, ladders, and chairs contest - was one of the most insane WWE bouts in quite a while. During the course of the contest, Styles was flipped through four open steel chairs and executed a springboard 450 splash out of the ring and through a table. For his part, Dean Ambrose delivered an elbow drop off a table and a ladder (and through another table), and was tipped out of the ring through a pair of tables.
Nobody who saw the bout would be surprised to hear that Styles was hurt. According to reports from fans in attendance, once the show ended, the WWE World Champion collapsed to the mat and waited for assistance from a trainer. During his conversation with the trainer, Styles seemed concerned with his right foot, which he was trying to move around.
Ultimately, "The Phenomenal One" left the ring without assistance, but he was limping all the way to the back.
