Alex Shelley, who is yet to wrestle this year, will be returning to the ring this September.

3 Cups Stuffed, a co-promoted effort from Game Changer Wrestling and Black Label Pro, will be Shelley's return bout. There, he'll defend the latter's Midwest Championship against 'Filthy' Tom Lawlor, a title he's held since dethroning Kylie Rae on 3 October last year.

At the start of this year, Shelley removed himself from the scheduled IMPACT Hard To Kill main event, where he was set to team with Rich Swann and Motor City Machine Guns partner Chris Sabin to take on Kenny Omega and the Good Brothers. Instead, Moose replaced Shelley, with the former X Division Champion later stating that his day job as a physical therapy clinician prevented him from making the 16 January pay-per-view.

Shelley's last match aired on the 1 December IMPACT broadcast, teaming with Sabin in a winning effort over XXXL, although it's unknown when, exactly, this match was taped.

Alex rose back to a prominent role in wrestling when he returned to IMPACT Wrestling at last year's Slammiversary pay-per-view. Alongside a World Tag Team Championships reign there, Shelley has also wrestled top indie prospects such as EFFY, Lee Moriarty, and Tony Deppen elsewhere.
