Alexa Bliss Teaming With Braun Strowman For WWE Mixed Match Challenge
Match made in Heaven.
Alexa Bliss will team up with Braun Strowman in the first-ever WWE "Mixed Match Challenge" later this month.
The announcement was made in a short video uploaded to YouTube, in which Raw general manager Kurt Angle introduces his first couple.
This decision appears to have been taken primarily because of the comedic potential of seeing the current Raw Women's Champion - nicknamed "Five Feet of Fury" - interact with the biggest man on the roster.
To be fair, there's no denying that it's kind of funny, and the concept as a whole - something the company has never done before - could yet prove an interesting one.
The tournament, which will be aired exclusively on Facebook, beginning in two weeks on January 16, is set to feature six tag teams from each brand.
More male-female combinations, presumably including Big Show and Mickie James, are expected to be announced in due course.
Other confirmed participants from Raw include Alicia Fox, Asuka, Bayley, Nia Jax, Sasha Banks, Enzo Amore, The Miz, Goldust, Finn Balor, Elias, Jason Jordan and Samoa Joe (it appears two of the men here will be cut).
Representing SmackDown, meanwhile, are Charlotte, Natalya, Carmella, Naomi, Lana, Becky Lynch, Shinsuke Nakamura, Jimmy Uso, Rusev, Sami Zayn, Bobby Roode and "one member of the New Day".
