All 12 WWE NXT Women's Champions Ranked Worst To Best
12. Ember Moon
The NXT Women's Championship has such a strong lineage that unfortunately Ember Moon ranks as the worst champion, despite holding the title for nearly five months. What holds The War Goddess back is her path to the gold. The NXT Women's Championship has built a reputation, much like that of the men's main title. A wrestler will rise to the top of the division, win the championship, then lose it just in time to debut on the main roster.
That appeared to be the case as Ember became the number one contender to the undefeated Asuka's Women's Championship. Moon would try, and fail, twice to defeat The Empress of Tomorrow at Takeover: Orlando and Brooklyn III. Moon was only able to capture the championship after Asuka relinquished it as a result of moving up to the main roster. After that vacating, Takeover: WarGames saw Moon defeat Nikki Cross, Peyton Royce and Kairi Sane in a Fatal Four-Way match to finally with the NXT Women's Title.
In her 141-day title reign, Ember only defended her championship twice; first against Sonya Deville and then winning via roll-up to temporarily halt the rise of Shayna Baszler. That win over Baszler was ultimately for nought, as in their rematch at Takeover: New Orleans, The Queen of Spades forced Moon to pass out, ending The War Goddess' time on top.
