All 23 World Tag Title Victories Of The Dudley Boyz

How well do you remember their legacy?

By John Bills /

After 10 years away doing a variety of household chores in Dudleyville and taking at least one holiday in Japan, Bubba Ray and D-Von Dudley have returned to the WWE and what an impact they've made. The 'half brothers' made it immediately clear just what they were after, and the wonderful New Day are the current holders of the prize. I'm talking of course about tag team gold, the shiny copper pennies, the straps that allow the team holding them to say 'we are the best team here'.

Bubba Ray and D-Von are no strangers to tag team championship success of course. They have won 23 world tag team titles in their careers, a number that no other team in the modern era can match. Eight titles were won in ECW (a record), 10 in WWF/E (including a record eight World Tag Championships and one WCW tag title reign), three runs in TNA and two in New Japan Pro Wrestling. They are the only team to win the WWF, WWE, WCW, ECW, NWA, TNA and IWGP tag championships.

What started off as a comedic stable in ECW evolved to become the most decorated tag team in the history of professional wrestling. In the interest of history and statistics, here are the 23 tag title victories of the Dudley Boyz, from earliest to most recent.

A year after making their debut in ECW, Buh Buh Ray (as he was then called) and D-Von Dudley would win their first tag team championship, defeating the supremely bad-ass team of Perry Saturn and John Kronus, The Eliminators.

The victory came at the ECW event 'Hostile City Showdown', which took place on March 15th, 1997 (pay attention to that date). Their first reign would last just 29 days however, coming to an end at the hands of The Eliminators at the event called 'Barely Legal'.
