8. Dakota Kai

As one of the tournament's few true high-fliers, I feel as though Dakota Kai didn't really receive the crowd reactions she deserved. Yes, her opening match with Kavita Devi wasn't great - mainly due to the inexperience of her opponent - but subsequent clashes with Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane were some of the most exciting bouts of the Classic.

Kai's one downfall was that she was never really as believable a winning babyface as others such as Abbey Laith, Kairi Sane and Candice LeRae - but her role as something of a dark horse was fulfilled very well indeed.
