Enough people liked AEW's product to buy pay-per-views and merchandise in substantial amounts when they couldn't buy tickets, and watched Dynamite every Wednesday, thrilled with the escape from the world they needed more than ever.

Regardless of what anybody thinks about Tony Khan's disposition, media presence, or the pedestal he's been placed on (presumably due to the powerlessness one sometimes feels watching Vince McMahon's insanity ruin what you once loved) these are the metrics with which to judge a successful wrestling promoter. The voters got this right.
