At TakeOver: Dallas, the team of American Alpha - Jason Jordan and Chad Gable - finally defeated The Revival of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to capture the NXT Tag Team Championships. It was a great match and a long time coming for one of the best tag teams in wrestling.According to The Wrestling Observer, Jordan and Gable may be dominating NXT now, but before long, they'll be in all-new territory. The plan for American Alpha has been for the team to debut on the main roster in the fall, though that may change with the recent announcement of the brand split. The company will need talented stars to fill out the separate Raw and Smackdown rosters, and it could be possible that American Alpha will get the call for that job sooner rather than later.American Alpha formed in 2015 after Jason Jordan, who had spent months looking for a tag team partner, finally relented and allowed the persistent Chad Gable to tag with him. Though they started off as heels, the two former amateur wrestlers quickly won a fan following due to their talent and explosiveness. After defeating former NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy and The Vaudevillains, Jordan and Gable earned a shot at reigning champs The Revival. They made good on that opportunity at TakeOver: Dallas, and are scheduled to defend the titles against The Revival in a rematch at June 8's TakeOver: The End.
