The former LAX mainstay has finished up with the promotion after being written off via injury angle this year. As things stand, his last match for the promotion was a tag bout pairing him with Johnny Swinger against Ace Austin and Madman Fulton that aired on 6 January.

Fightful confirmed Hernandez's departure with the 49-year-old himself. The parting was amicable, with Hernandez leaving IMPACT Wrestling on good terms, which should keep the door open should the two parties wish to work together again in the future.

A tenured IMPACT star going all the way back to the TNA days, Hernandez debuted for the promotion in 2003, with his longest and most successful run stretching from 2006 and 2014. Rising to prominence as a member of the Latin American Xchange, one of the most important factions in company history, Hernandez broke out as a hyper-athletic big man at 6"2' and 285 lbs, becoming a seven-time World Tag Team Champion with various partners (from LAX stablemate Homicide to Matt Morgan) in his prime.

Hernandez had been working for IMPACT on a handshake deal since returning in 2020. He joins a slew of recent departures from the promotion including Jake Something, Rohit Raju, and Matt Striker.
