Mercedes Moné might not be WWE-bound, but her former tag partner might be on her way back to the sports entertainment giant.

Fightful Select reports that Trinity Fatu, the former Naomi, could be a free agent soon, and sources believe that she will land in WWE. The current TNA Wrestling Knockouts Champion debuted with IMPACT in April, winning the women's top title in July. It's expected that she will finish up with TNA soon, but it's unclear exactly when that will be.

Trinity and Mercedes were the reigning WWE Women's Tag Team Champions when they both walked out of WWE in May 2022, vacating their titles. Moné turned up in New Japan Pro-Wrestling in January 2023, while Trinity landed in IMPACT.

Fightful indicated that in January 2023, WWE sources told the outlet that they were "confident" Trinity would return to the company. Sources in both WWE and TNA expect to see the former Naomi back in WWE sometime soon. The move would make sense for multiple reasons, including that her husband is former tag champ Jimmy Uso.

One WWE source told Fightful that "something huge would have to happen for her to not end up back in WWE sooner than later, but this is a crazy free agent period."

The news about Trinity potentially making moves comes just days after reports surfaced that Mercedes and WWE broke off talks recently and Moné could be landing with All Elite Wrestling.

With Andrade El Idolo potentially on his way back to WWE imminently and the contracts of Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre and Becky Lynch up soon, the free agent market is looking like mayhem to start the year.
