Ryan Nemeth was sent home from Saturday's episode of AEW Collision, having been confronted by CM Punk shortly after the 44-year-old's return to the promotion in June.

Fightful Select reports that Nemeth was brought to Greensboro, North Carolina for Collision on 12 August, only for a coach to inform him that he wouldn't be needed - and that a flight had been booked for him to go home instead.

While there is currently no word on whether or not these things are connected, Fightful notes that Nemeth and Punk were involved in a confrontation following the latter's AEW return for Collision's launch two months ago. This is understood to have stemmed from Nemeth tweeting "Literally the softest man alive" following Punk's 17 June return promo, which featured a shot at The Young Bucks. Nemeth, who has since deleted his Twitter/X account, is a regular on the Bucks' Being the Elite series.

Punk took exception to the tweet. Nemeth explained himself when they spoke, and it didn't get physical, though this is the extent of what's known about the confrontation.

'Hangman' Adam Page was also told to leave Collision's venue on Saturday. The former AEW World Champion was due to cut a pretaped promo during the tapings - and was the subject of a Punk burial after the show went off the air.
