Nikki and Brie Bella both returned in this year's women's Royal Rumble, with the twins working their first WWE match since November and October 2018 respectively. Now, it looks like they'll be sticking around for a while.

PWInsider's Mike Johnson reports that belief backstage at Royal Rumble 2022 was that there will likely be more of The Bella Twins heading into WrestleMania 38 (2 and 3 April). That said, there are no guarantees on specific appearances at this stage.

Outside of the Rumble, Brie's last match saw her, Nikki, and Ronda Rousey face The Riott Squad on Raw's 8 October 2018 episode. Nikki's was a house show clash with Rousey four weeks later, following on from their Evolution main event on 28 October.

Nikki had previously dismissed the idea of returning to the ring, telling the Sippin' the Tea show that she was "on the retired bench for life" due to her history of neck issues:-

‘"I would love one day, like when Matteo’s maybe three, and he knows it, to have my son be ringside while his mom kicks ass. That would be amazing to me. But because he is my everything, I have to listen to the doctors and as of now, they’ve put me on the retired bench for life. So, it would take a lot of scans, x-rays, and all this different stuff for them to actually approve me to have a run and so that would be unlikely – that will be years down the road."

Whether or not she will be willing to put herself through another match remains to be seen.
