Emma won a five-way elimination bout for the right to face 'The Empress Of Tomorrow' at TLC 2017. Having spent much of the bout avoiding the action, Emma rolled Sasha Banks up for the decisive pinfall after just over nine minutes, and now has the dubious honour of being the first wrestler to be steamrolled by the former NXT Women's Champion on the main roster.

The duo previously met in a critically acclaimed bout at NXT TakeOver: London back in December 2015, and engaged in a follow up bout on the brand's weekly show six weeks later. Asuka was victorious on both occasions.

'The Empress' sent her opponent a quick message on Twitter:-

Asuka hasn't been defeated since joining WWE in August 2015, and voluntarily surrendered the NXT Women's Championship to pursue main roster opportunities two months ago. Her Raw signing was announced on September 11th, and WWE confirmed that she'd debut at TLC during No Mercy's Kickoff Show.

We'd say "congratulations" to Emma for earning such an opportunity, but condolences might be more appropriate, given Asuka's track record...
