Aubrey Edwards To Officiate At IMPACT Rebellion?
One of AEW's top officials is reportedly on her way to IMPACT Wrestling.
Tony Khan has confirmed not only that he'll be in attendance at IMPACT Wrestling's upcoming Rebellion pay-per-view, but also that he'll be bringing his own referee; Aubrey Edwards. Aubrey is expected to be refereeing the main event title vs. title bout between IMPACT and AEW World Champions, Rich Swann and Kenny Omega, respectively.
'The Forbidden Door' confirmed the news during a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, stating the following to IMPACT creative writer Tommy Dreamer on the show:-
I'm gonna be coming up to Nashville to maintain order next weekend at your guys' PPV. I'm going to come up there and make sure no funny business is going on in this title match. And I'm going to bring my own referee, Aubrey {Edwards}.
Tony Khan first appeared for IMPACT on the 8 December edition of the AXS TV broadcast, appearing in a paid ad for AEW Dynamite alongside AEW commentator Tony Schiavone. He's since created various paid ads alongside Schiavone since, also including Jerry Lynn and members of the AEW roster along the way too.
Aubrey Edwards, meanwhile, signed with AEW on 1 September 2019, becoming the promotion's first - and, so far, only - full-time female referee.
