A few failed cash-in attempts haven't put the United States Champ off dethroning The Tribal Chief.

Austin Theory's been on.

Following on from a victory at the Survivor Series and the renewed push that's come with it, the new United States Champion has shot for the moon in a recent interview with Ottawa City News, noting that;

“The cocky, arrogant, douchy persona just really gets under people's skin and it did its purpose. And having the Money in the Bank contract and the way that character was, there's a little bit of a ceiling there just because when you look at Roman Reigns being so unstoppable and everything. Whoever is going to beat Roman Reigns it's gotta be someone that is really going to beat Roman Reigns and not just by some luck and I think the chapter that Austin Theory is headed now, is setting him up to build to being that qualifier to stand toe to toe with Roman Reigns."

Theory made several attempts at cashing his Money In The Bank briefcase in on Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns before giving in completely and aiming for then-US Champion Seth Rollins instead. Openly admitting that the beatings he'd taken at SummerSlam and Clash At The Castle specifically and potential interference from The Bloodline had put him off taking aim at 'The Tribal Chief', Theory hit rock bottom before starting back in the opposite direction.

'The Head Of The Table' looks beyond him on television at present, but it sounds like Theory is undeterred by the perceived gap between them.
