Backstage Details On Filming Of WWE Extreme Rules 2020's Swamp Fight
Where was it filmed, and how long did it take, and how many alligators were used?
WWE completed filming of Extreme Rules 2020's 'Swamp Fight' this past Thursday, a 'match' which on name alone promises to be bloody muddy brilliant, for better or worse.
Since photography concluded, some details about the production have surfaced from Bray Wyatt's black morass. According to Wrestling Inc., the waterlogged war was filmed in the mangroves two hours outside Orlando, and took almost seven hours to finish. That ought to have bogged the crew down somewhat.
And the result of traipsing in a swamp all day? Apparently, a match expected to run between 20 and 30 minutes, which honestly, sounds a bit much. If you think Braun Strowman is slow, imagine how much slower he's going to be wading up to his chest in the quagmire.
The report also said WWE used several live reptiles, including an alligator and a snake, in the segment. Yup. Nothing has been scaled back on this production.
Furthermore, it's understood Vince McMahon was not involved in its creation, much as he had no hand in the extremely successful 'Boneyard' contest between AJ Styles and The Undertaker at WrestleMania. It's either going to be the best or worst thing ever, and we can't wait.
