Mia Yim returned to IMPACT Wrestling at Under Siege 2022 on Saturday (7 May), confronting former Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo following Purrazzo's defeat to Taya Valkyrie.

A frustrated Purrazzo attempted to put a beating on Valkyrie after failing to regain the AAA Reina de Reinas belt from her. Yim then hit the ring after the arena lights had blacked out, brawling with Deonna, who attempted a sneak attack while Mia was checking on Taya. The sequence ended when Yim put Purrazzo out of the ring, seemingly establishing a feud.

Fightful Select reported after Under Siege that Yim has now signed a deal with IMPACT. In an update, the outlet stated that a six-month contract has been agreed on, with neither side opposed to an extension later down the line.

It was under IMPACT's banner that Yim first rose to national wrestling prominence. Competing primarily is Jade, her full-time run commenced with The Dollhouse in April and stretched until 2017, bringing a Knockouts Championship reign along the way. The following year, Yim signed a full-time deal with WWE.

Released by WWE in November 2021, Yim has worked only two independent dates since her non-compete clause expired.
