How AEW's production team handled last night's Blood & Guts show.
Fightful Select have published a report detailing several interesting backstage snippets from last night's AEW Dynamite: Blood & Guts show.
Published during the broadcast itself, the report states that the live crowd in Daily's Place watched the show's first hour (which was taped in advance) on the big screens, with the Blood & Guts match going down live, occupying the second hour.
The double-sized steel cage had been set up by the time fans arrived at the arena. In addition, the crash mat onto which Chris Jericho fell at the end of the show was pointed out.
Interestingly, despite this being AEW's highest-attended event since the onset of the global health crisis, the audience was told that AEW would be piping in crowd noise for the pre-taped matches. There's no word on whether or not the promotion did this for Blood & Guts.
The Pinnacle ended up emerging victorious over The Inner Circle, with Sammy Guevara surrendering for his team as MJF threatened to launch Jericho off the top of the cage. Though his side won, MJF decided to twist the knife, making the 50-year-old former AEW World Champion take the fall anyway.
