Rumors have been going around claiming that Charlotte winning at Hell in a Cell was not the original plan for the match. Apparently, Vince McMahon had not even made up his mind until perhaps the day of the show.

The Wrestling Observer reported that at a production meeting the night before the event Sasha was still booked to win the match. Something quickly changed. Someone in the boss's inner circle said that Vince changed his mind the day before, and not the day of the show, but still, that's cutting it really close.

Apparently the switch has nothing to do with Sasha's alleged perception of getting injured easily, or Charlotte's pay-per-view winning streak, as that wasn't really planned out in advance.

However, a couple of planned spots were cut from the match, as there were fears that Sasha could get hurt. That is a claim that Ric Flair made on his podcast. He said one of the spots "involved a moonsault", which could be referring to the rumor that Charlotte wanted to deliver one off the top of the cell. In that case, it seems that either woman could have been badly hurt.

Perhaps the news of the title change isn't too surprising, but it's still very alarming. How can WWE expect to book anything out long-term when the man in charge has no vision of where to take things even 24 hours in advance? With ratings continuing to sink, management needs a road map more than ever.

Unfortunately, don't expect things to change anytime soon.
