They would focus the tapings on their young Indian wrestling star.

TNA Wrestling is planning on running live events and potentially taped TV in India later this year, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. The deal isn't finalized yet, but if it happens then the plan is to build the tapings around Mahabali Sheera, who is a 25 year old wrestler from India that signed with TNA in 2014. Sheera used the name Khoya in TNA as part of James Storm's Revolution stable, but when he turned face recently he went back to using the Sheera name.A few years ago, TNA did some shows in India under the Ring Ka King name that was considered a success because there aren't a lot of high quality wrestling shows in India. It's obviously a market with a lot of potential since they have over 1 billion people in India. There are still no updates on the company's television future because Destination America could end their deal in September as has been rumoured. In the past week, TNA announced several live event shows in September and October as part of their Bound for Glory tour, so that's a positive sign at least. TNA wrestlers have been told that they can still take independent bookings, but if the company needs them for the India tour or anything else that comes up then the talent would have to cancel their dates.
