Backstage Notes On WACKY Idea Pitched For Last Night's WWE Raw

This outlandish WWE Raw idea was seemingly left on the cutting room floor.

Alexa Bliss teamed with Asuka to face Nikki A.S.H. and Doudrop on last night's WWE Raw, scoring the pinfall after nailing A.S.H., her former tag team partner, with a DDT - but her night was almost a lot different.

Fightful Select reported several hours prior to the broadcast that somebody had pitched the idea of Bliss' toy doll, Lilly, being stolen on the show. It was noted at the time that there was no word on whether or not this had been approved for Raw. Given that this didn't end up happening on the show, it's safe to assume that it wasn't.

While WWE didn't go with the Lilly pitch, announcer Corey Graves spoke of Alexa needing to recapture her old ruthlessness in order to climb the rankings, which could be interpreted as a heel turn tease.

Alexa first started carrying Lilly around during her dalliances with Bray Wyatt and his 'Fiend' character post-WrestleMania 37. It has been inferred, on several occasions, that the doll has supernatural powers (most notably when it chased Shayna Baszler around backstage in June 2021), but not since Bliss' comeback earlier this year.

Despite shedding many of her Fiend-isms upon returning at Elimination Chamber 2022, Bliss still carries Lilly by her side en route to the ring. The doll featured heavily as part of a pre-comeback series of therapy vignettes in January and February.
