WWE planning personnel changes for upcoming SmackDown wars.
WWE could be set to involve an NXT pair in SmackDown's brewing war between the recently split LWO.
One week after turning on Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar turned on the rest of the group on Friday's SmackDown, betraying Zelina Vega, Cruz Del Toro, and Joaquin Wilde, setting him off on his own - for the time being.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported on talk of Los Lotharios - Angel Garza and Humberto Carrillo - returning to the main roster to join forces with Escobar. The idea of pairing Los Lotharios with Mysterio had also been discussed, however.
As well as this, WWE may have something big in the works for Dragon Lee. Meltzer states that current WWE plans include a program that will see the masked star earn a significant endorsement from Mysterio.
Mysterio announced last week that he was set to miss some WWE time following knee surgery. Multiple outlets have confirmed the surgery as legit, with Mysterio set for 6-8 weeks on the timelines. It is expected that he will be launched back into the Escobar story upon returning to television
