A Stadium Stampede match pitting MJF's Pinnacle group against Chris Jericho and The Inner Circle goes down at AEW Double Or Nothing 2021 this Sunday, 30 May, with the widescale arena brawl likely headlining the show.

An interesting addition to the show, given that Double Or Nothing will be AEW's first fully-attended event since the COVID-19 pandemic forced wrestling promotions into empty arenas last March, and the original Stampede was a pretaped, cinematic affair.

Perhaps fortunately, this year's Stampede will feature a "significant live element." This is according to Fightful Select, whose source wouldn't give away more details than that - but called it a "unique live experience."

The first Stadium Stampede match went down at Double Or Nothing 2020, and saw The Elite and Matt Hardy triumph over The Inner Circle. Contested in and around an empty TIAA Bank Field, which is adjacent to Daily's Place, Chris Jericho claimed it took over 12 hours to film.

Another curious facest of this year's match is that the original Stampede was ostensibly a comedy match. The Pinnacle vs. The Inner Circle has been presented as a heated blood feud thus far, so it's intriguing to think about what tweaks, if any, AEW will make to fit that.
