Backstage Update On How WWE Is Booking The LWO
Here's why WWE is booking the Latino World Order to get beat down so often...
The Latino World Order's current WWE booking pattern is seen, by the promotion, as a way of building The Judgment Day up in their ongoing feud with Rey Mysterio and Bad Bunny.
PWInsider has reported as much, stating that this is why WWE is largely booking the LWO to get beaten up in segments.
While the bout hasn't been officially confirmed yet, Rey and Bunny are expected to face two Judgment Day members at Backlash 2023 on 6 May. The event takes place in San Juan, Puerto Rico, with Bunny already earmarked as its host.
Additionally, PWInsider notes that WWE plans on booking Judgment Day's Rhea Ripley against the LWO's Zelina Vega for the Premium Live Event. The promotion has delivered few interactions between the duo thus far, with two weeks of television still to come before Backlash.
A WCW stable between 1998 and 1999, the Latino World Order surprisingly reformed prior to WrestleMania 39, with Rey delivering t-shirts to Legado Del Fantasma following their recent assistance with The Judgment Day. Mysterio and Santos Escobar then teamed in their first tag match on 7 April - a defeat to Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest.
