Backstage Update On Injury-Enforced Changes For WWE WrestleMania 37 Plans
Injuries hit WWE WrestleMania 37 plans hard just weeks out from the Showcase of the Immortals.
With most of us expecting to see Damian Priest and Bad Bunny vs. The Miz and John Morrison at WrestleMania 37, it was slightly surprising to see this week’s Raw announce Bunny vs. Miz for the upcoming Showcase of the Immortals.
In an update on this situation, PWInsider is reporting that the plan was indeed for Priest & Bunny vs. Miz & JoMo at ‘Mania, but those plans were changed due to injury.
Both Priest and Morrison are said to be dealing with minor injuries right now.
The pair could well be back in action in time to be added to the Bad Bunny vs. The Miz contest and make it a tag team affair, although WWE is moving forward with the current singles bout just in case these injuries aren’t recovered from by the time of WrestleMania 37. It’s worth noting that WWE may even leave it as late as ‘Mania itself for any changes, with there a chance that this match could be changed to a tag team effort on the day of the show.
As it stands, Bad Bunny vs. The Miz is set for 10 April – the first day of this year’s Granddaddy of Them All.
