With this weekend bringing the news that WWE's Liv Morgan was recently arrested, there's now an update on how that may - or may not - impact Morgan's standing with the promotion.

For those who missed it, Liv was arrested on Thursday and detained on drug possession charges. She was found to be in possession of marijuana, with Florida law dictating that can result in up to one year in jail, up to one year of probation, and a $1,000 fine. A court hearing has been set for 12 February 2024 at Sumter County Courthouse, where the former SmackDown Women's Champion will plead guilty or not guilty. Depending on this plea, the New Jersey native will have to undergo random drug testing for an unspecified amount of time. This is in addition to a six-month suspension of her driving license and various legal fees.

In an update from PWInsider.com, this arrest has seemingly brought no heat with it and won't causes any changes to the plans WWE currently has in place for Morgan.

At present, Liv is recovering from a shoulder injury suffered this past summer. WWE had the talent pencilled in for storylines in 2024 and in the mix for a "high profile program" in the build to WrestleMania XL, and this arrest has not impacted those plans.

Morgan is viewed as a hard worker by WWE and is well liked, and the company is just keen for this situation to be resolved as soon as possible. In terms of when WWE was made aware of this arrest, while it wasn't widely known throughout the organisation, certain top executives were aware of this issue and had spoken with Liv the day after her arrest.
