Backstage Update On Toni Storm's Expected SmackDown Role

Because what happens in NXT stays in NXT, right?

With it confirmed that Toni Storm will be making her SmackDown debut this coming Friday, there's now an update on what the current plans are for the former NXT UK Women's Champion.

As per PWInsider, Storm is set to work as a babyface on WWE's blue brand - this being despite having worked as a heel for the past several months on NXT.

The vignettes that have aired for Storm's Smackers arrival certainly seemed to lean towards her being a babyface act, although some questioned whether that would be the case due to said NXT heel work. But hey, what happens in NXT stays in NXT, right?

To be fair, Toni is a phenomenal babyface, as shown by her early company tenure in the Mae Young Classic, in NXT UK, and in parts of her NXT appearances. Since turning heel, though, the Australian had really started to find her groove in the last month or two.

Toni Storm will be the fourth new addition to the SmackDown women's roster in recent weeks, following in the footsteps of (Tegan) Nox and Shotzi (Blackheart), and also the moving of Naomi from Raw to Smackers.
