How's the current backstage mood in WWE?

With Vince McMahon now out of the picture, morale in WWE is said to be extremely high.

Speaking on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio (via WrestlingNews.co), Dave Meltzer noted how people within WWE have come to realise just how much of a "hindrance" McMahon was to the overall company product.

As Meltzer explained:

"I think that we're starting to learn, it really hit me... was that it really hit that Vince really was a hindrance. People sort of speculated and everything, but when you see the difference in the mood over there... I think it's a better product. For the most part, and there are exceptions there, too, because there's people who are close to Vince, but for the most part, the talent is very happy because a lot of the weird Vince-isms are gone that didn't need to be there. A lot of the weird stupidity is out the window."

While there was never going to be a complete overhaul to WWE programming in one hit, Paul Levesque's run as the head of company creative has certainly made some welcome changes in the short time that Levesque has been steering the ship.

In addition to some subtle (and not so subtle) changes to the TV presentation, Triple H has also brought Dakota Kai, Karrion Kross, Scarlet Bordeaux, Hit Row, Dexter Lumis and Johnny Gargano back into the fold following their respective WWE exits, whilst IYO SKY has finally received a main roster call-up.

Other notable changes under the Game's stewardship include a renewed focus on WWE's secondary championships, and talents such as Kevin Owens now all of a sudden feel like a big deal once again. In the case of KO, that's meant reverting to his Prizefighter roots and beating the absolute piss out of people.

Either way, it appears as if WWE is a far, far better, easier environment to be involved in now that Vince McMahon is now longer running the organisation.
