Big Show has mounted a surprise return to WWE prominence in recent weeks, joining Kevin Owens and Samoa Joe in their ongoing battle with Seth Rollins, AOP, and now Buddy Murphy, who aligned with the growing heel faction during this week's ridiculously fun Raw Fist Fight.

Don't expect this run to last a whole lot longer, though: per Dave Meltzer on a recent episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Show's currently run is considered a "short-term favour," meaning it won't be long before he vanishes again.

Hardly surprising, given that 'The World's Largest Athlete' is now 47 years old and has worked only in similar patterns over the last few years. Regardless, it wouldn't be a Big Show comeback if he didn't turn heel at some point. Here's hoping WWE keep the meme alive and make it happens before he bows out.

Meltzer also notes that the main reason Show was brought back was to fill-in for Rey Mysterio on Raw's babyface side. The lucha legend is currently preoccupied with Andrade and the United States Championship, though he is expected to join the main event feud after next week's ladder match.
