Backstage WWE Update On Braun Strowman’s Injury Status
Will Braun Strowman be able to compete at WWE TLC 2020 following his injury?
Braun Strowman is not expected to compete at TLC 2020 (Sunday 20 December) after WWE confirmed ‘The Monster Among Men’ is suffering from a knee injury.
This is the word of the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer, who reported last week that Strowman was likely “suspended” from television earlier this week as a result of hurting his knee at Survivor Series 2020. A follow-up report has since emerged from the same source, confirming, finally, that Braun is off the card.
Strowman had been pegged as a potential opponent for WWE Champion Drew McIntyre on the last pay-per-view of the year. His odds of scoring that spot diminished greatly on Raw, when a six-man contendership tournament was announced, with Strowman not included in the field. Keith Lee, Riddle, and AJ Styles will fight for the shot on tonight’s episode of Raw.
It was noted that WWE was working on ideas to get Braun into WWE Title contention, including adding him to the Triple Threat. It looks like those plans have been shelved for now.
There is currently no word on how long Strowman will be missing for, or the full extent of his injury.
