For the past month or two, NXT Tag Team Champions The Street Profits have been a regular part of WWE Raw as they’ve been used as on-screen hype men for the current TV product. Are they soon set to depart NXT in favour of a permanent move to the main roster, though?

If Dave Meltzer is to believed, apparently not.

Meltzer is reporting that Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford are due to stay with NXT for the foreseeable future, although they will also continue to be seen on Raw in a non-wrestling capacity.

The reason that many have now been expecting The Street Profits to be leaving NXT is that last week’s set of NXT TV tapings saw Dawkins and Ford lose the NXT Tag Team Championships to The Undisputed Era.

Regardless of that title loss, The Street Profits will be continued to be used in the same way that we’ve seen for the past couple of months – wrestling on NXT, hyping on Raw.

One other school of thought is that the entertaining presence of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford on Monday night’s will serve as an advertisement of sorts for the NXT product in the hope of having fans tuning in on Wednesday nights to watch The Street Profits in action.
