Bayley's AEW Teases Did Not Land Well With WWE... (AEW News)
WWE or AEW? What on earth is going on with Bayley now?
The latest Bayley-to-All Elite Wrestling rumours intensified earlier this week, when the former WWE Grand Slam Champion posted a video featuring Mercedes Moné to her socials soundtracked by "All In" The Grouch & Eligh. Captioned "All Or Nothing baby", it doubled down on lots of gossip that she was set to make the switch.
The plot thickened though, with WWE and AEW apparently being "baffled" about whether or not this was a legitimate tease or just a case of the 'Role Model' leaning into rumours and stories enhanced by a match graphic Moné herself had previously posted. To follow up, WrestleVotes on Fightful Select "learned that the social media video she posted did not 'land well with everyone.' and added that "It was viewed by some backstage as 'eyebrow-raising".
Bayley's last match as of writing was a Triple Threat Intercontinental Championship match on a July house against Sol Ruca and Lyra Valkyria. She's worked over 1000 matches for WWE dating back to her NXT debut in 2013, having spent four years on the independent scene, and has been credited by countless wrestlers for her selflessness over the years. A multi-time Women's Champion, Royal Rumble and Money In The Bank winner, she's done everything there is to do in both Triple H and Vince McMahon's versions of WWE, furthering the speculation that she might eventually make the jump.
