Becky Lynch is currently riding high as SmackDown Women's Champion, having snatched the belt from Bianca Belair in her long-awaited SummerSlam 2021 return, though she was never 100% sure of whether or not she'd return in the first place.

Speaking to Ryan Satin on his Out of Character show, the soon-to-be Raw wrestler revealed that she was only around 60% certain she'd come back to professional wrestling after becoming pregnant in 2020.

Lynch had been absent from WWE television for 15 months prior to SummerSlam 2021. She announced in May 2020 that she and partner Seth Rollins were expecting their first child, leading to her relinquishing the Raw Women's Title to Asuka, who had just won that year's Money in the Bank briefcase.

Becky and Seth's daughter, Roux, was born on 4 December. Rumours of a Lynch comeback followed almost immediately, despite the challenge she faced to get back into ring shape after getting birth, with Becky herself teasing an appearance at WrestleMania 37 in April. This never came to pass, with Lynch instead showing up at SummerSlam.

Crown Jewel 2021 (21 October) will see Lynch defend the SmackDown Women's Title against Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair in a Triple Threat match.
