Beth Phoenix has re-entered WWE's televised universe since being inducted to the Hall of Fame in 2017, first working as a colour commentator throughout the Mixed Match Challenge's first season in 2018, then competing in that year's formative women's Royal Rumble.

She has since continued to fill spots as a guest announcer as well as teaming with Natalya to challenge for the Women's Tag Team Titles at WrestleMania 35. Now, Beth has landed a new full-time gig with the promotion.

As announced during last night's NXT TV tapings, 'The Glamazon' is now a permanent member of the developmental announce team, joining the popular Mauro Ranallo and Nigel McGuinness in the three-person booth:-

Phoenix's appointment raises questions about the status of old announcer Percy Watson, who wasn't present at the tapings. No announcement was made on where Watson stands, though it looks like Beth has taken his place, unless WWE plan on moving towards a four-person booth.

Phoenix becomes the second woman to fill a spot in NXT's announcement, with Renee Young sitting at the table prior to her main roster promotion. Beth has done a grand job in every guest commentary spot so far, and in the MMC, so let's hope this continues.
