Big Debut At NJPW King Of Pro Wrestling, Bullet Club OGs Add Four New Members
Two major factions both welcomed new men in Tokyo.
Ex-Dragon Gate man Shingo Takagi made his debut for New Japan Pro Wrestling at last night's King of Pro Wrestling event, revealing himself as the latest member of Los Ingobernables de Japan. Takagi was introduced to the crowd by Tetsuya Naito as 'The Dragon', donning an LIJ mask. When he whipped it off, he received an understandably huge reaction.
Takagi announced his decision to leave Dragon Gate just over a month ago. Ex-WWE star Neville made a shock return to the company as part of his farewell tour earlier this month.
Elsewhere on the card, the Bullet Club OGs, a splinter group of Prince Devitt's original crew, greatly expended their ranks, drafting four new members into the faction.
Bad Luck Fale announced the induction of the first new member, Robbie Eagles, via Twitter. He has been granted the rather ridiculous title 'Club Sniper of the Skies', and is set to pair with Taiji Ishimori at the upcoming Super Jr. Tag Tournament later this month.
After Hiroshi Tanahashi held onto his IWGP Heavyweight title shot opposite Jay White, he was blindsided by his beaten opponent and former CHAOS man Gedo. A stramash broke out which involved Jado and Kazuchika Okada, only for the Bullet Club OGs to run the babyface off. White hit Okada with a Blade Runner, after which he flashed the 'Too Sweet' sign, heralding his arrival in the group alongside the two CHAOS founders.
