WWE officially named New Day the "greatest tag-team ever" during a special on WWE Network/Peacock.

The company had been counting down the top 50 tags in history for weeks, but producers decided that Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods and Big E deserved the number one spot - New Day beat The Hardy Boyz, Demolition, New Age Outlaws, Edge and Christian, The Hart Foundation and more.

E has since tweeted out his response to WWE's decision.

The SmackDown star (who is currently flying solo in the upper-midcard on Friday nights) told followers that WWE's announcement made him reflective about New Day's journey. E is aware that many fans will disagree that they're the "greatest ever", but says the trio were willing to bet on themselves and "pursue a path that felt right for us".

That led to friendship behind the scenes and success in front of the cameras.

It's genuinely hard to begrudge New Day this honour. Although WWE's booking wobbled last year during the 2020 Draft (what was that soft split all about?), the threesome are legit one of the best tag-teams wrestling has ever seen.

Do you think New Day deserves to be recognised as the "greatest tag-team ever"? If not, then who should get that accolade?
