Big Injury Update On AEW's Matt Jackson
With The Young Buck be ready for AEW Double or Nothing 2023?
Matt Jackson has been cleared to return after suffering a torn biceps almost two months ago.
That's according to the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, with Dave Meltzer noting how his recovery had "obviously gone quicker than expected with all the stuff he’s done on television."
The Young Buck was actually cleared this week, with Jackson bumping and running the ropes before the latest edition of Dynamite, a few weeks ahead of schedule.
The AEW EVP's injury went down on March 10 during the Dynamite three-way Trios Championship bout as The Elite battled against The House of Black and Jericho Appreciation Society. However, Matt opted against surgery in the aftermath and still remained hopeful he'd be fit to perform at the upcoming AEW Double or Nothing 2023 PPV.
Speaking of that incoming Las Vegas event, though The Young Bucks haven't officially been announced in a match for the night of May 28, it's largely assumed that a multi-person bout involving The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will be going down on the card.
This week's Dynamite saw Kenny Omega being betrayed by long-time pal Don Callis during his match with Jon Moxley after Matt & Nick were separated from Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli by security outside of the steel cage.
With just two more weeks to go until Double or Nothing lands in Vegas, expect a showdown between these warring units to be made official very soon...
