After months of "will they/won't" they speculation worthy of a CW teen drama, the long-rumored match between The Big Show and Shaquille O'Neal is officially off the table for WrestleMania 33.

The two first locked horns during last year's Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and immediately word began circulating that the pair of giants would face off at the following year's Mania. It was all but penciled in at one point, with the two going back and forth, cutting promos on each other multiple times over the past year.

But as we drew closer to the annual supershow, doubts crept in. Big Show even went so far as to criticize Shaq for being in poor shape, who responded by showing off pics of him in "fighting shape" on TMZ.

After this Monday night's Raw, we now know that the two will not square off in Orlando, unless it's a repeat of last year. That's because Big Show threw his name in the hat as the latest entrant in the Andre Battle Royal.

It's certainly possible they still bring Shaq in for a surprise appearance like 2016, but it would be an extreme waste if they're going to do that rather than the singles bout, especially considering Orlando was home to O'Neal for many years when he played for the Magic.

This makes Show one of only three announced contestants so far, joining SmackDown's Mojo Rawley and Apollo Crews. As the winner of WrestleMania 31's Andre back in 2015, he'll attempt to be the first repeat winner in the match's history.
