Big Update On Natalya's WWE Status
The Queen of Harts' WWE contract was due to expire last month.
With Natalya's prior WWE deal due to expire at the end of June, there's now word that the Queen of Harts has re-signed with the market leader.
As initially reported by PWInsider, Natalya signed a new contract shortly before that previous deal was up. Fightful Select adds that WWE began talks with the veteran in May, with this new deal a multi-year one and WWE wanting to tie the Canadian grappler down before she hit the free agency market.
Of course, there was interest in Natalya from other promotions, but the expectation was that she'd ultimately end up re-signing with WWE. Likewise, there was also interest in TJ Wilson - Natalya's husband - as a producer from those same companies.
Having made her in-ring debut in 2000, Natalya has been with WWE since 2007, winning the SmackDown Women's Championship, the Divas Championship, and being one half of the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions - with Tamina - during this time. The third-generation star also holds the Guinness World Records for most female WWE PPV appearances, most female WWE wins, most female WrestleMania appearances, and most female matches on both the Raw and SmackDown brands.
