THIS Was The Best SmackDown Debut For Blake Monroe?! (WWE News)

Hopefully, this isn't a sign of things to come on WWE's main roster for ex-NXT star Blake Monroe.

Blake Monroe finally debuted on Friday's episode of SmackDown to little fanfare following weeks of introductory vignettes. The former AEW and NXT star walked in on Chelsea Green strolling down a corridor to inform Tiffany Stratton's would-be pal that she wasn't impressed.

That was it. That was literally all WWE's creative team had for Blake.

Obviously, she'll have a bigger role to play on TV going forwards, but her bow is already being called one of the most throwaway in recent history by fans on social media. Some can't believe that Triple H and his writers had so little for Monroe to do - especially after hyping up the splash she was going to make ahead of time.

Compare and contrast this to the impact Fatal Influence trio Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley and Lainey Reid made upon debuting on the 24 April episode. Together, they've taken the fight to top stars like Rhea Ripley, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss. The heels haven't always won out (in fact, Henley and Reid lost to Rhea and Charlotte on this week's edition of blue brand fare), but they've been largely treated like a big deal/major act.

The same, rather unfortunately, cannot be said for Monroe. Worse, her pop-up appearance on SmackDown played before silence as punters in Lexington, Kentucky watched on big screens. WWE didn't do the newbie any favours by presenting her like this, they really didn't.

Oh well, onwards and upwards eh? Blake clearly has a job on her hands to fight back against inner apathy though. She'd be forgiven for asking serious questions about her debut on the main roster.
